Mediterranean Calm: A Bathroom Inspired by the Sea
Inspired by the client’s travels across the Mediterranean, this bathroom embraces a pared-back aesthetic that brings together soft natural textures, refreshing aqua tones, and clean contemporary lines.
The brief was to capture the tranquillity of coastal living through a simple, considered palette, creating a space that feels light, effortless, and quietly luxurious. Featuring Mandarin Stone herringbone tilework, a bleached oak vanity, and a low-profile Bette shower tray, the room delivers a serene, sun-washed coastal retreat.

Colour and Texture Inspired by Nature
Aqua wall tiles from Mandarin Stone laid in a herringbone pattern bring fluid movement to the scheme, evoking the gentle impression of rippling seas.
Their fresh, watery tones introduce vibrant colour while the directional tiling adds subtle architectural texture. To balance the cool aqua palette, a bleached oak vanity unit introduces natural warmth and an organic feel reminiscent of sun-bleached Mediterranean interiors, anchored above by a sleek HiB mirror.

"Great design is about finding the right balance between inspiration, practicality, and considered detailing, creating bespoke spaces that reflect lifestyle, personal style, and the places that inspire them."

Minimal Design, Maximum Impact
Maintaining a restrained layout allowed the organic materials and textures to take centre stage. Although spatial constraints prevented a fully tanked wet room, a flush-to-floor Bette steel shower tray offered an elegant, ultra-streamlined alternative.
Paired with minimalist Majestic shower glass and a crisp Vogue radiator, the low-profile enclosure minimises visual interruption across the floor, delivering a seamless, practical showering space that enhances the calm, coastal ambience.
