A Considered Balance: Classic Style Meets Spa Living
Designed to serve as both a downstairs cloakroom and an adjoining swimming pool changing space, this project called for a careful balance of practicality, privacy, and understated luxury.
The brief was to create a room connected to the character of the home while introducing a subtle spa-like atmosphere for poolside relaxation. Featuring premium Catalano ceramics, a custom Farrow & Ball palette, and Schluter wet room engineering, the finished design blends daily functionality with elevated style.

Intuitive Zoning and Practical Flow
Serving two distinct functions, the layout relies on smart zoning to create clear areas for privacy and ease of movement. The space was planned so guests and family can collect a towel and head straight out to the pool without disrupting the main cloakroom area.
Shower Lab enclosures and a Schluter wet room system ensure the room handles moisture effortlessly while maintaining an intuitive, well-resolved flow.

"Even the most functional spaces deserve the same level of design consideration as a principal bathroom, balancing everyday practicality with a distinctive sense of style."

Colour, Contrast and Classic Character
To overcome limited natural light, the scheme pairs grounded slate blues and warm greens from Farrow & Ball with multi-layered illumination, including a HiB lighted mirror.
A classic Shaker-style vanity unit from Catalano grounds the room in timeless tradition, while brushed stainless brassware by Emporio Bagno introduces a clean, contemporary edge.
This interplay between classic detailing and modern finishes results in a space that feels fresh, welcoming, and purposeful.
